Rowhedge, Essex Giclée Art Print
High-quality art print of Rowhedge, a village three miles south-east of Colchester in Essex. Rowhedge is located on the banks of the River Colne - opposite Wivenhoe - and was once a thriving port and shipbuilding hub; today, it is a small but popular village and hub for sailing and pleasure craft. Rowhedge is connected to nearby Wivenhoe by a seasonal ferry, and to Colchester by Fingringhoe Road. Each year, the Rowhedge Regatta is held in the village, a popular local event that was at one time personally sponsored by King Edward VII.
This illustration depicts a view of Rowhedge from the east bank of the River Colne, and features several popular sights. Popular local pub Ye Olde Albion can be seen in the foreground, while further in the background one can see St Lawrence's Church and Rowhedge Watertower.
This Essex illustration by artist Rob Wisdom is a high-quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper.
