High quality greeting card of Southwold, a charming seaside town on the Suffolk coast - almost adjoining the neighbouring villages of Reydon and Walberswick. A popular seaside resort town, Southwold is perhaps best known for Southwold Lighthouse, which has dominated the town's skyline since its construction in 1890. Standing at 31 metres tall, the lighthouse's lamp can be seen out to 24 nautical miles away. Southwold is also known for its beach (complete with brightly-painted beach huts), its pier (190 metres long), and as the home of Adnams brewery (the town's largest employer).

Depicted in this original illustration is a view of Southwold Beach, a popular destination with its sandy shores and colourful beach huts. Rising up beyond the beach, our view is drawn to North Parade, and beyond to the iconic Southwold Lighthouse. To the right-hand side of the illustration, you can see an old Second World War sea mine, which has been repurposed into a collection box for the Shipwrecked Mariners' Society.
