High quality art print of a Bristol Blenheim, a British light bomber aircraft which is known for its role in the Second World War. 4,422 Blenheims were manufactured from 1935 to 1943, when it was phased out in favour of more modern aircraft.

The Bristol Blenheim played a central role in the early stages of the Second World War - a Blenheim was the first British aircraft to fly over Germany, and was operated by both the Royal Air Force and the British Expeditionary Force during the Battle of France. During the Battle of Britain, Blenheims crossed the North Sea on bombing runs in Norway, Denmark, and Germany - most notably for the bombing go Fortuna and Goldenberg Power Stations in Germany, a raid in which cricketer Bill Edrich flew.

Further afield, the Bristol Blenheim saw action for the RAF in North Africa - primarily flying from Malta - and East Asia - taking part in the Malaya and Burma Campaigns. It was also operated by the Finnish Air Force, who operated a total of 97 Blenheims; Blenheims undertook over 3,000 missions during Finland's conflicts with the Soviet Union in the Winter War, Continuation War, and Lapland War.

This illustration by Rob Wisdom is a high-quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper.
