Displayed in this depiction is the historical Royal Air Force (RAF) Bradwell Bay, a former airfield located in close proximity to Bradwell in Essex. Erected during the Second World War, Bradwell Bay remained operational as an airfield until 1946, serving as a home to various Royal Air Force squadrons over the course of its existence. Notably, this fighter airfield distinguished itself by employing the 'Fog Investigation and Dispersal Operation' system, providing invaluable assistance to pilots navigating through foggy conditions during landings.

At the center of attention within this portrayal is HK204, a De Havilland Mosquito Mk XII affiliated with No. 488 Squadron of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, carrying the estimated Squadron Code of ME-W. Unfortunately, HK204 met a tragic fate near Tolleshunt Knights, with a crash resulting in the loss of both pilot Edward 'Cecil' Ball and copilot William Kemp.
