- Lotus 99T Greeting Card
This pack of four greeting cards celebrates decades of Formula One racing success by Norfolk-based manufacturer Lotus. The journey begins with the Lotus 25, debuting at the 1962 Dutch Grand Prix and delivering two constructors' championships for Lotus (1963, 1965) and two drivers' championships for Jim Clark (1963, 1965). The Lotus 49 was similarly successful, delivering another the constructors' and drivers' championships double in 1970 (Graham Hill). Another double followed in 1972 (Jochen Rindt), shared with the new Lotus 72 which debuted mid-season. The Lotus 72 would go on to deliver two more constructors' championships (1972, 1973) and a drivers' championship for Emerson Fittipaldi (1972).
Our story picks up again at the 1987 Brazilian Grand Prix, with the debut of the Lotus 99T, sporting bright yellow colours and 'Camel' sponsorship. Lotus finished a respectable third in the 1987 Formula One World Championship, with drivers Ayrton Senna and Satoru Nakajima finished third and twelfth, respectively.
