High-quality art print of the BAC Concorde, the first commercial passenger aircraft to be capable of supersonic flight, with a cruising speed of Mach 2.04, or 1,354 mph - first achieved on a test flight on 2 March 1969. A joint British and French project, Concorde was manufactured jointly by the British Aircraft Corporation and Sud Aviation.
Concorde was commercially operated from 21 January 1976 to 24 October 2003. During this time it flew trans-Atlantic routes - the sonic boom it created when breaking the speed of sound being too loud for overland routes. During this time Concorde set the record for the fastest trans-Atlantic crossing.
This illustration by Rob Wisdom is a high quality Giclee art print on cotton-rich fine art paper.
