North American P-51D Mustang 'Ferocious Frankie' Giclée Art Print

High quality art print of a North American Aviation P-51D Mustang, an American long-range fighter-bomber aircraft of World War Two and the Korean War (during which it was designated the F-51). Regarded as one of the finest aircraft of its era, more than 15,000 Mustangs were built for the Royal Air Force and United States Army Air Force. It is known for its unique shape, with a large air intake underneath the cockpit.

The P-51D Mustang's chief advantage over other bomber aircraft was its range, allowing it to penetrate deep into German airspace on daring bombing runs; although it couldn't carry as much ordinance as a dedicated bomber, it nonetheless carried significant munitions, while also having the air-to-air firepower to defend itself against Luftwaffe interceptors.
