Ford Escort MkI RS2000 Giclée Art Print

The European Ford Escort, best known as a classic family car, also has a long track record in motorsport events such as motor rallying. This was the case with the Ford Escort MkI RS2000, with the RS standing for Rallye Sport. Produced as an alternative to the temperamental RS1600, which it ran alongside, the Escort MkI RS2000 - depicted in this illustration - featured a 2.0 L Pinto (OHC) engine. Though it lacks the iconic pedigree of the RS1600, the RS2000 nonetheless proved a solid car that performed well in motor rally events.
