Giclée travel poster of Great Dunmow (often written as Gt Dunmow), depicting the idyllic Doctor's Pond in the heart of the town. How Doctor's Pond got its name is lost to history, but we do know an intriguing fact - that the very first lifeboats were tested on the pond by Lionel Lukin in the 18th century. Today, the pond is a popular spot for people to go fishing, or simply to relax in the middle of town.

Great Dunmow itself is a peaceful small town in the Essex countryside, part of the Uttlesford district. With no rail connection to the town - since 1952, when Dunmow railway station was closed to passengers - Dunmow's nearest station in over 8 miles away in Braintree.

This Essex illustration by artist Rob Wisdom is a high-quality Giclée travel poster. For our classic art print of Great Dunmow, click here.
