High quality art print of the ruins of Hadleigh Castle, a 13th century castle just outside of the town of Hadleigh. Built in 1215, Hadleigh Castle was one of England's grandest castles for centuries, and was a particular favourite of Edward II. The castle later fell out of favour, and was partially demolished in the 16th century; what remained passed into the hands of the Salvation Army, the Ministry of Works, and now English Heritage. Today it is a Grade I listed building and a popular tourist destination just outside of Hadleigh.

Hadleigh itself is a thriving town, with a population of around 18,300, sitting close to Southend-on-sea and Leigh-on-Sea. The town has quick access to beautiful views over the Thames Estuary. Hadleigh Farm hosted the London 2012 Olympic mountain biking events in August 2012.

This Essex illustration by artist Rob Wisdom is a high-quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper. For our Hadleigh Castle travel poster, click here.
