Ingatestone, Essex Giclée Travel Poster
Original illustration of Ingatestone, a village in the Borough of Brentwood in Essex. Depicted in this illustration is Ingatestone railway station, which sits between Shenfield railway station and Chelmsford railway station on the Great Eastern Main Line. The station building at Ingatestone dates back to the 1840s, and was built in a Tudor-inspired style at the request of local landowner Lord Petre, who wished it to look consistent with his nearby manor house, Ingatestone Hall. Ingatestone station is now Grade II listed, and widely regarded as one of the best-looking station buildings in Essex. It is traversed by hundeds of thousands of passengers each year, including commuters from other towns and villages such as Billericay, Stock, and Mountnessing.
