The Jaguar XJR-9 is a classic sports race car built by Jaguar to compete in high performance motorsport and racing. Powered by a 7.0 L 60 degree Jaguar V12 engine, the XJR-9 achieved the perfect balance of speed and reliability, and consequently saw success in the endurance races for which it was designed. The XJR-9 debuted at 1988's 24 Hours of Daytona, taking the win on the day, and went on to win the 1988 World Sports Prototype Championship while sporting its iconic Silk Cut sponsorship livery - depicted by artist Rob Wisdom in this illustration.
