High-quality Giclée art print recreating a nostalgic poster of the past. This poster promoted Mott the Hoople on tour with Queen at the Kursaal Ballroom in Southend-on-Sea, on 1st December 1973.

Mott the Hoople were at the time the more established band, having formed in 1966. Their first major hit, 'All the Young Dudes', had hit number 3 in the UK singles chart, and in July 1973 they'd released their sixth studio album, Mott, which peaked at number 7 in the UK albums chart. The band consisted of Ian Hunter, Mick Ralphs, Pete Overend Watts, Dale 'Buffin' Griffin, and Verden Allen.

Queen were a relative newcomer to the scene in 1973. Their self-titled debut album had released in July of that year, but it would be 1974's Queen II that saw the band begin to chart. 1974 would also see the band's first hit major hit single, Killer Queen, which peaked at number 2 in the UK singles chart. Bohemian Rhapsody the following year was their first number 1. As such, the set list may look unfamiliar to all but the most dedicated Queen fans: no We Are the Champions, no Don't Stop Me Now, no Another One Bites the Dust, and certainly no Under Pressure or Radio Ga Ga - just the likes of Ogre Battle, Great King Rat, and Jailhouse Rock. The iconic band lineup, however, will be more familiar: Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon.
