Original art print of Lavenham, an idyllic rural village in the Babergh district of Suffolk. Lavenham is known across East Anglia for its picturesque timber-framed buildings, many of which owe their origins to the town's prospering wool trade in the late medieval period, which saw Lavenham flourish as one of England's wealthiest villages.
Depicted in this illustration is a view of Lavenham Wool Hall, a 15th century guild hall that became a Grade I listed building in 1958. In 1963, the building was acquired by Trust Houses, and became a part of the Swan Hotel. Today, the Swan Hotel is a hotel, restaurant, spa, and wedding venue.
This Suffolk illustration by artist Rob Wisdom is a high-quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper. For our Lavenham travel poster, please click here.
