Little Baddow, Essex Greeting Card
Greeting card of Little Baddow's Paper Mill Lock, the halfway point of the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation, which runs from Chelmsford to Heybridge Basin, where it joins with the Blackwater Estuary. Paper Mill Lock is the seventh lock along the canal's fourteen-mile course, and sits just outside the small village of Little Baddow. The lock is a popular site for cruises along the canal, canoeing, and paddle boarding, all overlooked by the popular Paper Mill Lock Tea-rooms which sit on the south bank of the water. Depicted in this illustration is a view from the aforementioned tearooms, looking out across the water as evening falls on a bright summer's day.
