The Lotus Elite, also known as the Lotus Type 14, is a classic sports car, produced by Lotus Cars from 1957 to 1963. An innovative car, the Elite was one of the first cars to feature a single fibreglass, rather than a separate chassis and body. This meant that although the Elite had a humble 1.2 L Coventry Climax FWE I4 engine, it performed competitively with other sports car of the time.
