Marconi Sailing Club, Essex Giclée Travel Poster
Original illustration of the Marconi Sailing Club, on the south bank of the River Blackwater near Steeple in Essex, and the view over the water towards Osea Island. Pictured is a Thames barge sailing past the Victorian wash house and jetty, and WWI Hard.
Formed in 1952 as the 'Sailing Section' of the Marconi Athletic and Social Club (MASC), the Marconi Sailing Club moved into the present-day clubhouse in 1974, having acquired the site in 1971. In 2003 the club bought the site and assets from the MASC and became independent, but retained the name Marconi Sailing Club as a nod to their heritage. Today the club is open to anyone.
This Essex illustration by artist Rob Wisdom is a high-quality Giclée travel poster on cotton-rich fine art paper.
12x16" print shown. Cropping and title position (if applicable) may differ slightly on 'A' size prints.
