Originally built in 1807, this classic post mill replaced its predecessor dating back to at least 1477 and underwent a meticulous restoration in 1983. Positioned at the heart of Mountnessing, the windmill offers a timeless view overlooking the local tennis and cricket clubs, Mountnessing Village Hall, and the charming Prince of Wales and the Plough pubs.
Nestled just a few miles from Brentwood, Mountnessing is a quaint Essex village with a population of just over 1000 as of 2011. Recognised for its iconic windmill and the historic parish church of St Giles, the village comes to life each July with its annual fete. Nearby is Billericay, Stock, and Ingatestone.
