Needham Market, Suffolk

Original illustration of Needham Market in Suffolk, featuring the Grade II listed Hawks Mill. Hawks Mill was built in 1884, with the wings added from 1892 to 1895, and has stood overlooking the River Gipping (source of the River Orwell) ever since. It replaced an earlier wooden mill on the same site, and is accessed by a bridge that dates back to the 18th century.

The mill has since been converted into flats. Some of the building's historic machinery has been preserved, including the Armfield turbine, however the milling machinery itself has been removed.
