St Andrews Giclée Art Print
High quality art print of the Old Course at St Andrews Links, the 'Home of Golf'. With a history stretching back to the early 15th century, St Andrews is the world's oldest golf course, and is widely considered to be where modern golf originated; certainly, St Andrews was the first course to adopt the modern 18-hole standard in 1863. The golf course has a length of 7,305 yards, with a Par score of 72. The course record, 61, was set in 2017 by Ross Fisher.
This illustration depicts a view from the 17th green, looking back towards the Hamilton Grand, Martyrs' Monument, and the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews clubhouse - the three structures together creating one of golf's most iconic views. The Road Hole bunker - perhaps the most notorious bunker in the game of golf - can be seen in the illustration, as can the famous Swilcan Bridge.
The Old Course at Saint Andrews recently hosted the 150th Open Championship in July 2022; it was the 30th time that the Old Course had hosted the Open, having first hosted in 1873.
