Tillingham, Essex Giclée Travel Poster

Original travel poster of Tillingham, a village on Essex's Dengie peninsula, in the Maldon district; amongst the smallest of Essex villages we've illustrated so far. Depicted in this illustration is a view of the village's historic centre, including the iconic village sign, and the Grade II* listed Church of St Nicholas, which dates back at least as far as the 13th century. Tillingham has, since early Anglo-Saxon times, been associated with St Paul's Cathedral, which still owns significant land in the village to this day; as such, the arms and image of St Paul's appears on Tillingham's village sign.
