Original art print of Tiptree, Essex, depicting the top of Factory Hill, near the crossroads and the War Memorial. Factory Hill takes its name from the Wilkin and Sons jam factory that has been based in the village for well over a century, and this view shows beyond the formal entrance and recently-restored iconic factory gates.
Tiptree is a village in the City of Colchester (formerly known as Colchester Borough). The village was primarily a rural area for most of its history, split across neighbouring parishes, and only became its own parish in 1934. Since then the village has continued to grow, and with a population of almost 10,000 is one of England's largest villages.
This Essex illustration by Tiptree-based artist Tom Wisdom is a high-quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper.
