Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, Kill Bill: Volume 1 was released in 2003 to mass acclaim; Kill Bill: Volume 2 released the following year in 2004. Uma Thurman - who had previously worked with Tarantino on Pulp Fiction - starred as The Bride.

This art print is inspired Kill Bill's most iconic sequence, the 'House of Blue Leaves' scene, in which The Bride fights countless 'Crazy 88' yazuka warriors with a katana. Tarantino had aimed to create "one of the greatest, most exciting sequences in the history of cinema," and Uma Thurman's performance was a vital part of that vision.

Outside of Kill Bill, Uma Thurman has had a highly succesful career as an actress. She has featured in such films as Gattaca, Pulp Fiction, and Hysterical Blindness - for which she won a Golden Globe award.
