Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex Giclée Art Print
High quality art print of Westcliff-on-Sea, a seaside town neighbouring Southend-on-Sea in Essex. Overlooking the Thames Estuary, Westcliff is lined with sandy beaches popular with locals and visitors alike; these beaches were created through the 19th and 20th century with the use of groynes and imported sand, and now form a key part of Westcliff's character.
Depicted in this illustration is a view from Western Esplanade, looking up the cliffs from which Westcliff-on-Sea takes its name. In the foreground is Rossi's ice cream parlour, which has been a popular and award-winning parlour since the 1930s. Atop the cliff can be seen the Cliffs Pavilion, the largest purpose-built performing arts venue in Essex. Since its opening in 1964, the Cliffs Pavilion has hosted hundreds of events per year. Westcliff is also home to another theatre, the Palace Theatre, to Southend United's ground Roots Hall, and to the Genting Casino.
This Essex illustration by artist Rob Wisdom is a high-quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper.
