Original art print of White Notley railway station in White Notley, Essex.
White Notley railway station opened in 1848, on the then-new Witham to Maldon branch line. The line originally ran from Maldon to Braintree, via Langford, Wickham, Witham (connecting to the Great Eastern Railway), White Notley, Bulford (later renamed Cressing), and finally to Braintree. The Beeching Cuts of the 1960s saw the Witham to Maldon section closed, and the remainder renamed the Braintree branch line.
White Notley itself is one of the quietest railway stations in the country, and the least-used in Essex, with annual passenger number of around 8,000. Nonetheless it is an idyllic station, nestled in a peaceful part of the bucolic Essex countryside.
This Essex illustration by artist Rob Wisdom is a high-quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper.
12x16" art print shown. Cropping and title position (if applicable) may differ slightly on 'A' size art prints.
