Woodbridge, Suffolk Giclée Travel Poster
Premium Giclée travel poster of Woodbridge, a market town on the River Deben in Suffolk. Woodbridge is sometimes referred to as 'the gem in Suffolk's crown', and has been named as the best place to live in England - owing to the town's flourishing independent shops, historic buildings, and to the beautiful countryside that surrounds it. Woodbridge is located very close to Sutton Hoo, the site of the famous Anglo-Saxon burial site of King Raedwald.
This artwork shows a view of Woodbridge Tide Mill, which is among the last remaining tide mills still in use. Built in 1793, Woodbridge Tide Mill works by filling a reservoir at high tide, and then gradually emptying that reservoir through the water wheel to turn it - this in turn powers the milling machinery. Open to visitors as a museum, Woodbridge Tide Mill is an iconic sight in the town.
