Woodbridge, Suffolk Giclée Art Print
Premium Giclée art print of Woodbridge, Suffolk. A market town on the River Deben, Woodbridge is often regarded as 'the gem in Suffolk's crown'. It is not difficult to see why; Woodbridge has a wide variety of independent shops, historic buildings, and is surrounded by miles of beautiful Suffolk countryside.
Depicted in this illustration is Woodbridge Tide Mill, one of the last remaining operational tide mills in the country. Woodbridge Tide Mill fills a reservoir at high tide, then empties the reservoir to turn the water mill, and has done so since its construction in 1793 - however, earlier tide mills on the site were in operation as early as 1170, with one iteration being owned by Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. Today, Woodbridge Tide Mill works as both a museum and an active mill.
