Original illustration of the Avro 504K biplane bomber (and later, trainer), as used by the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Naval Air Service during the First World War. The Avro 504 entered production in 1913, and was the most-produced military aircraft of the war, with over 8,000 built by the end of 1918; it remained in production as late as 1932 as a trainer aircraft.
