Basildon, Essex Giclée Art Print
Couldn't load pickup availability
Premium Giclée art print of East Walk, Basildon, Essex, showing the heart of the town centre with its landmark tower, modern shops, and the Vue Cinema in East Square. The scene captures the pedestrianised walkway on a bright day, with shoppers, trees, and seating that soften the post-war architecture.
Basildon was designated a New Town in 1949 to house London’s overspill population, and its centre was laid out, incorporating the boldest of new ideas in architecture and urban planning. The town quickly developed its own character and culture, most famously producing Depeche Mode and other pioneering electronic music acts that made Basildon a byword for the synth-pop sound of the 1980s.
This Essex illustration by artist Tom Wisdom is a high-quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper. For our Basildon travel poster, please click here.
