Original illustration of a Bristol M.1C monoplane, the only British monoplane fighter of the First World War era. Designed by Frank Barnwell of the Bristol Aeroplane Company, the M.1 was introduced to the Royal Flying Corps in 1917. Only a small number - 130 - were built, due to the skepticism with which monoplanes were seen at the time. It was primarily used for training, with only a relatively small number deployed, primarily in the Balkans and Middle East.
This aviation illustration by artist Ken Wisdom is a high quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper.
