High-quality art print of Burnham-on-Crouch, a town on the Dengie peninsula in Essex. Sitting on the north bank of the River Crouch, Burnham-on-Crouch's history is tied to the river. Developing as a ferry port, the town then became known for its oyster industry. In more recent times, at the town has become a centre for yachting, giving rise to buildings such as the Grade II* listed Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, seen in this illustration. The last week of August in Burnham-on-Crouch is celebrated as Burnham week, in which the town's four sailing clubs host a regatta and a series of yacht and dinghy races.

Located on the sparsely-populated Dengie peninsula, Burnham-on-Crouch is a major hub for the population of the area. It's population of around 8,000 makes it the largest town on the peninsula, and it is connected to county capital Chelmsford (via South Woodham Ferrers and Wickford) by the Crouch Valley line.

This Essex illustration by artist Rob Wisdom is a high quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper. For our Giclée travel poster of Burnham-on-Crouch, click here.
