Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex Giclée Travel Poster
Giclée travel poster of Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex. A quiet riverfront town sitting on the north bank of the River Crouch, Burnham-on-Crouch is in a somewhat secluded corner of Essex - the Dengie peninsula, bounded north and south by the Blackwater and the Crouch. It should come as no surprise, therefore, that Burnham is known as a peaceful and well-regarded small town.
Burnham is perhaps best known, however, as a centre for yachting, and has been for almost a century. The iconic Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, designed by Joseph Emberton and built in 1931, is a Grade II* listed building - you can see it on the right-hand side of this illustration. Burnham's yachting culture is celebrated with 'Burnham Week', an annual regatta which has been held since 1893.
