Heybridge Basin, Essex (Christmas) Giclée Art Print
High quality winter art print of Heybridge Basin in Essex, where the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation joins the Blackwater Estuary, just outside of Heybridge proper. Opened in 1796, the canal allowed goods to flow into Chelmsford directly until 1972, when commercial traffic ceased. These days, the canal is used by leisure craft, and Heybridge Basin itself is a popular destination for visitors.
There are two pubs at Heybridge Basin, the Old Ship and the Jolly Sailor, both of which can be seen in this illustration, and a Wilkin & Sons tea room. The sea walls provide views of the Blackwater estuary and Osea Island, along with a path to the nearby town of Maldon - which we have also illustrated.
This Christmas illustration by artist Rob Wisdom is a high-quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper. Heybridge Basin travel posters can be found here.
12x16" print shown. Cropping and title position (if applicable) may differ slightly on 'A' size prints.
