Seaview Avenue, Mersea, Essex Giclée Travel Poster
Giclée travel poster of a view from Seaview Avenue, Mersea, Essex. A tidal island in the Blackwater Estuary, Mersea, that is connected to the rest of Essex by a 7th century causeway, known as the Strood. The Strood carries Colchester Road over the water, but at high tide is flooded, cutting Mersea off from the mainland.
Known for its beaches and green spaces, Mersea is a popular destination for visitors from across Essex. The island's town, West Mersea, is particularly popular with tourists - no doubt due to the idyllic beach huts which have lined its beach for over a century now. This illustration depicts the view through a handful of Mersea's many iconic beach huts, giving that tantalising first glimpse of golden sands, and tranquil seas beyond.
Love Mersea? We've also illustrated the Packing Shed and a view from Victoria Esplanade.
