Original illustration of a Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5a fighter biplane, circa 1917. Alongside the Sopwith Camel, the S.E.5 was introduced to the Royal Flying Corps in 1917, and proved an effective aircraft through to the end of the First World War, and was retired shortly afterwards by the Royal Air Force. The vast majority of S.E.5 aircraft were of the upgraded S.E.5a model, which featured an improved engine.
This aviation illustration by artist Ken Wisdom is a high quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper.
