Original illustration of the Voisin VIII, a French two-seater bomber biplane of the First World War era. Produced from 1916 to 1917, and used until the Armistice in 1918, over a thousand Voisin VIIIs were built, primarily for the Aéronautique Militaire. However, the aircraft struggled with unreliable Peugeot 8Aa engines, leading to the introduction of the Voisin X, which was little-changed except for the introduction of the superior Renault 12Fe engine.
This aviation illustration by artist Ken Wisdom is a high quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper.
